Application Form
A single application is to be submitted by each team in the form of a PDF document emailed to [email protected] OR using the form below. If applicants email in a PDF form, please send the consent forms below as part of the application.
The application should include:
Students must be a Sophomores or Junior at the time of application. Teachers of any grade level (elementary, middle, high school) can apply and do not need to teach history. Please contact us if there are any other questions regarding application requirements.
Students and teachers who do not currently have passports may apply to the Institute; if selected, passports will be necessary to go to France and each member must obtain one.
2024 European Visa: The Institute will provide information and guidance on obtaining all necessary documentation to accepted teams.
- Contact information for both the student and teacher member of the team;
- Two statements -- one from the student, one from the teacher -- briefly explaining your interest in the Normandy Institute and sharing a bit about yourself (1500 word max each);
- The teacher's resume;
- A letter from the teacher's supervisor confirming employment as well as a recommendation for the Institute;
- A brief explanation by the teacher of why the student was chosen (max 1500 words);
- A reviewed and signed consent form from both the teacher and student;
- A reviewed and signed consent form from the student's parent of legal guardian along with their name, address, email, and phone number.

Please download, sign and date these forms. If you are submitting via website application please upload the documents to the application. If you are submitting via email PDF, please attach these documents within the PDF application. Applications without these release forms will not be considered.
